He dreams about life, nature and his own garden – then skillfully crafts those dreams into sketches and paintings that give us a glimpse into the magical world where we all live.
Miro has deep subconscious memories that surface through his art and vocabulary, memories developed and matured over a lifetime of his observations and experiments.
When I first met Miro in 2009 he created paintings filled with figures that were not quite human. He called them “souls,” and they sat, sleeping in chairs, peeking around objects and floating in space – Miro’s space.
Now his “space” has grown more outside than inside, and filled with the beauty of natural life as he has found in his own gardens, a beauty that can be seen in his “Garden” series celebrating our wonderful northwest life.
Come and witness this insight into the world we share with this gifted artist.
