Brian Marki Fine Art invites you to Gordon Marshall's latest show "Veiled." This collection of figurative abstract work, all produced in the last year, continues Gordon's exploration of the figure as a vehicle for minmalist abstraction. Notes of architecture and nature's landscape permeate Marshall's carefully layerd paintings developed over months of refining.

Atmosphere is always a component of Marshall's work and the Veiled series takes the atmosphere one step closer to the air and moisture inspiring these new works. Color suggests a mood, light exprese form, line creates and anchore and all combine to create a comples image that looks simple.

Marshall takes us on a journey not easily captured in one glance. Living with his work allows one to see more complexity than first seen. Time tells the story and time is telling a very nice story of Gordon Marshall and his painting.
